my friend has a 1987 camaro with a TPI 305, and a 5 spd manual trans. hes looking to drop in a fresh ZZ4 350. the problem he has is, hes looking to switch to a 4 bbl, rather than leave the stock injection system, due to lack of money. would there be any real problems other than high fuel pressure from the electric fuel pump? is the 5 spd manual completely mechanical, or is it at all related to the ECM?

A manual trans in an 87 Camaro does not interact with the ecm at all.
