I have an '86 IROC, 305 TPI, 700r4... Soon i'll be dropping in a 5.7 vortec engine from a '97 suburban. The engine has 2k on it at the most. I'll be using Scoggin Dickeys vortec manifold and basically that will be the only mod (initially) other than headers. My question is with TPI will i see an improvement over the 97 'burbans mid-200 HP and high-300 TQ?? I have a feeling torque will go up, but will there be any increase in horsepower?? Also if anybody has done a similar swap and has run into any problems advice will be appreciated...
