LT1 to 5-speed BW mate

All,

Is it possible to mate an LT1 to a World Class 5 speed? Is a 4th gen transmission required for 3rd gen installs?

in simpler terms: YES thats what I did for my swap, just bolted up the stock flywheel and transmission. worked like a charm

How is it holding up to the LT1? I sold my T5 since I doubt it will hold up to the setup that I have in my car.....LT4 with Nitrous.

well, it actually held up pretty well. but after my clutch went out, it destroyed my synchros, so I bought another one to swap in while I rebuild mine. done have the time or money to get a T56 right now. Im rebuilding the LT1 now, I think Ive got a cracked head from when I blew a head gasket last year. Im probably going with AFR stage 1's. should give me a pretty good hp increase. we'll see how the tranny does after rebuild with the moly gears.
