Any Hood Clearance problems when switching to carb?

Hey guys, I have an 87 Formula 350 and would like to know if there will be any hood clearance problems switching it over to a carb set up.

I have finally had enough of my TPI. It is one thing or another constantly going wrong. To many sensors and electronic crap for my liking.

The plan is to go with a holley 650 double pumper, performer RMP manifold and an 1inch spacer. Will this give me a hood clearance problem?

ANy help would be greatly apreciated

Well I'm not sure about your FOrmula but with my 86 Camaro hood clearance wasn't that big of an issue. I'm running a Street Avenger 670, Performer Intake with a 1 inch adapter. On top of that a K&N Triangular Cleaner. It did leave a small indentation on the underside of my hood with all that. Nothing that is visible though

Won't fit. Check my sig. Maybe if you used a really tiny air cleaner.

with my setup I believe it will just barely fit under a stock hood. Add a 1" spacer and I doubt it.

It will fit with the right air cleaner assembly.
You won't get much over all benefit with a 1" spacer on the
performer rpm so leave it out.

Search my posts for pics and info on how to do this.

I needed a 3/4" spacer for my fuel lines to clear the heater hose. Might not be a problem for you though.

Yea with the rpm your going to have little to no clearance. There is no way you can use a spacer unless you have a different hood or air cleaner. I would use the spacer IMO
