305 to 350 swap...please help

I have an 83 Z28 with a stock 305 and I just picked up a pre 86 350. My questions are... will the 350 go in without making any engine compartment modifications? Will everything bolt up the same? Is the exterior of the 305 and the 350 block the same? Should the 350 go in the same way the 305 came out?

The 305 and 350 are identical externally. You'll have no problems with the block.

Is it cross fire injection? And are you keeping it or going to carb? There might be a hood clearance issue with a carb. Not really sure tho.

Yeah everythign is the same, if you swap intakes you'll need to fab the alternator bracket. (if you go with an aftermarket intake + carb that is).

I'm building another LG4 to replace the one I grenaded in my Z28.. I've got a ton of those LG4 blocks in my shop. Noone wants 'em, but its soo easy to make 'em run faster than a stock L98..
