LT4 "non HOT" cam in a 330ho motor
LT4 "non HOT" cam in a 330ho motor
What do you think the power drop would be compared to the cam it comes with? I think I will also be using 1.6 rockers. I want a roller setup and with an LT4 I wouldn't have to worry about an external EGR setup for emissions, since the LT4 has enough overlap to act as a self EGR.. I will probably be using an edel. performer intake with an adaptor plate for a holley 670TBI.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

The LT-4 cam is high lift and low duration to be computer friendly. The LT4 is a roller and the standard 330hp crate is a flat tappet cam. I don't think you would gain any except for the roller and the loss in duration may take that away. However it is emmission friendly.

Thanks Brian. I wasn't expecting to gain anything, I just didn't want to lose too much power. I want to make at least 300hp, and as much torque as possible, and keep it very streetable since it is my daily driver.

I don't think you will lose anything, I think its a swap between the two but either way you will be getting 330hp. Don't forget the LT 4 uses the 1.6 rockers.

yeah, I'm gonna have to take the engine apart as soon as I buy it so I can get the heads machined and install the cam. Oh well, I hope it will be a good combo, it seems like it will be on paper.
Thanks again
