What intakes will fit under an 89 Iroc hood?

Hey guys, my super rammed 406 is giving headaches so I'm switching to a carb. I was wondering what setups you guys are running for a carb, intake, and air cleaner? I'm looking at a old style torquer from edelbrock for an intake. I'd like to keep the stock hood if I can. Thanks!

Well if you're gonna keep the stock hood, you will need a minimun 3.50" front manifold height and 4.50" rear manifold height.

I think you meant maximum. Or were you just listing the manifold heights?

Anyway, I had a performer RPM sitting under the hood of my TA with a Carter carb, 1" drop base air cleaner with 3" tall filter. I had room to spare, cant remember how much but the hood clearance wasnt an issue. That manifold Edelcrock lists at 4" front 5.3" rear. Everything will factor in from carb type to air cleaner type, height, and even if its a Camaro or Firebird from what I understand.

If a torker dont fit under the hood, youre doing something wrong for sure.
