Need help - engine swap Wiring

I'm changing over from 305 to 350. I didn't do as good a job of labeling the wires as I thought On the right hand side of the motor, there were some electrical gizmos on the original block - definitely the knock sensor plus 2 others. I labeled the wires "gizmo underneath spark plug 1" and "knock sensor?". The 3rd wire is also labeled "knock sensor". So, I'm a bit confused.

Does anyone know the identity of these wires?

#1 is on the LHS of the motor...drivers side. As far as I know the knock sensor is on the passenger side near the starter and will have a white connector different looking than any other on the car (except maybe the brake pressure warning switch). You have to sweeze it on both sides to take it off.

It would help to know the year of the car and the induction type.

The radiator fan switch is also on the passenger side, between and slightly below the #6 & #8 spark plugs.

The only thing I can think of that is near the front is the A.I.R. diverter valve.

The car is 1986 firebird. Originally with 305 "H" motor, automatic and carbureted, but is now 350, 5-speed manual and still carbed!

Yeah, I must be a bit brain dead on the plug numbering and engines side issue. The knock sensor is on the right hand passenger side, pretty close to the starter. My problem is I labeled 2 wires indicating knock sensor. They have similar connectors, so I need to resolve that one.

I do indeed have a wire labeled indicating "under #1 spark plug" - I'll check that maybe it should be on the drivers side. I may have confused myself on this one.

On the fan switch - I do think I missed this and I'll bet that's one of my mysterious wires. This switch is on the drivers side? Ok. I am sure I forgot to install it!!!

Maybe the better question to ask is - "what sensors are mounted on the block, and where". That may help me decipher the wires.

Damn, 2-years since I disconnected the wires and I don't remember it all!! I took a lot of reference photos, but may have missed some spots.

The temperature sender for your gauge is between plugs 1 & 3 on the driver's side, and has a single connector with a hole for the plug to snap on to. five7kid is right about the fan switch being on the passenger side, and I believe the knock sensor is closer to the front of the car than the fan switch.
