Well, I think I probably know the answer to this, but I know a guy who knows a guy who buy and sells used LT1's and LS1's from wrecked cars. He sells the engines with everything needed to go with the engine. And I wouldn't be very interested until I knew the price. The guy said around $2400 for an LT1, and about $2800 for an LS1! Does anybody think this a good deal? Thanks,

 

last time I looked into it I could get a low mile LS1 and auto tranny for $3600. I didn't want an auto though. it could be less now.

 

Thanks, I think this is just the engine though. If I could find one with a tranny with it, I wouldn't mind it though. Also, I have an auto, so it would be easier to swap an auto for an auto instead of a stick, right? Also, the guy told me about something like rebuilt trannys made with cevlar??? He said that it's just like a five speed, with an auto, but you don't have a clutch. Anyone know anything about any of these? Thanks in advance!
