LT1 install...questions...

My friend just bought a LT1 for his 91 RS. Its complete with computer and wiring. Other than a high pressure pump is there any thing else needed? Any tips for the engine swap?

Also, he is hooking this up to a 700r4 trans. Will it just bolt up and work fine or does he need a lock up switch? Thanks

I am guessing that you will get more responces in the motor swap.

yeah you'll get better responses over there, but he will also need a AC delete pulley I believe. I dont think he can run the AC with the lt1, but im not sure.

Besides fuel pump you'll need power sterring line, resistences for the VATS, Lt1 rad is recommended, hoses, general stuff line oil and coolant.

Also something that I have notice with lot of people doing this swap is that the Water Pump will tend to fail if the engine didn't work for a long time since the gasket are drying off.
