I'm taking out a 305 motor from an '86 IROC and replacing it with a 350 motor from a '91 IROC, and needed to know if I can use the same oil pan?
Someone told me that I would need to get a different oil pan because the seals are different.
Any information would be appreciated.

 

It should work; 86 was the 1st year with the one-piece rear main seal. As long as it is, it will work. But we all know how changeover years can be... I'd sure look and see before it's too late, if possible.
