I bought a 1984 camaro with a 229 from a 1982 Malibu. Is this a good engine or should I plan on putting a 350 in it? If I do put a 350 in will my trans and rear end work wit it? The car came with the 2.8 in it. Thanks for any help

 

To get a good response, you need to be more specific about your use for the car. Race, sit, street, high performance, show car, etc. What is good for me may not be what you want to do with the car.

 

I mainly use it to get to work But I would like to be able to street race it a little.
