Not sure about my engine
Okay, I just got a 350 engine. The guy I bought it from said it was out of an 88 Iroc TPI. I looked for the casting number on the block and found:
GM 5.7LG
SFI
"General Motors, 5.7 Liters, G?, Sequential Fuel Injection?"
There is not a 6 digit number anywhere else that I can see. I went to Mortec.com and they had a picture of the same engine with the same code and didn't say what it was. I'm basically just wondering if it is an L98? I went under the resources page on this website and found that they supposedly only made L98 in 1988? If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. Thanks!
