swapping out a 2.8 V6 for a V8 LG4 , the 6 is fuel injected ,and the 8 is a 4bbl , do I need to switch out tanks or just the pick up , or can I run right through the electric fuel pump if I cut the power to it ? the rest of the swap should be no problem I have an formula of the same year ,so plenty of parts to change out .

 

The tanks are the same, only the pickups are different.

If you aren't running the electric pump, the wise course is to take it out and replace it with a plain pickup.
