Jegs has a Base 350 with Vortec heads for sale posted at 330 hp. Looks like I want one, but was considering the 300 hp on goautocenter.com, it says made for the '87 TPI. I know I need Scoggin Dickeys Vortec Manifold for the 330, and I will use headers too, however, the add in Jegs says the 330 is made for pre '76 or something like that. If it is a 350 is should fit the Camaro, but will the heads and block on the 330 hp have all the provisions for the TPI and the computer. I really want to keep the swap as simple as possible. Any comments and suggestions (from those who have done this) would be appreciated including photos.
Thanks in advance,
Scott

The motor should fit without any difficulty, and usually when it says it is for pre-76 vehicles, it usually means that it will almost always be for off road use. That means that you will have a hard time passing emissions. If you retain the fuel injection i have heard of people messing with their own chips to get it through inspection, don't know how though! I am learning as i go along. good luck

Been there, done that.
I did a "base" 350HO swap into my '89 Bird last month. If you want the lowdown on all the details drop me a post.
