im considering buying one of these.. im not sure on the specs though. wat are the cam specs? are they both roller blocks.. but the truck motor has a flat tappet cam and 4 bolt mains, and the other has a roller can and 2 bolt mains. i do know that i want to eventually put a set of vortec heads and a mild cam in the motor too.. what about compression stock, and with 64cc heads? thanks for the info.. or if theres a site out there that has the info because i ask way too many questions
most importantly... horsepower and torque ratings?

About $300.
Seriously, I feel the Caprice engine is by far the better buy since it has the roller cam. 2 bolt mains aren't that big of deal until you cross 400hp or run major nitrous shot. Just think of all the abused 3rd gens out there with 2 bolt mains that are hitting the 200k mile mark on the original engine.
The truck engine has the roller cam provisions but is a flat tappet cam engine. Both come with their own versions of the peanut cam causing both of them to come in at 210hp/300tq with TBI, no headers, crappy intake and stock exhaust. If you were considering the $1895 engine then you might as well get the 350HO which already has vortec heads and is pumping out 330hp (with carb, better intake, headers and good exhaust).
