i have a 1988 tbi just did a motor swap and used my 305 heads and intake on a 1976 350 block and i have a overheating prob now.
now my ? is will my intake 305 mind you bolt on a set of 1992 chevy van 350 heads or could i go to auto zone and get heads for a tpi motor. what new heads will work with 1976 block and a 305 intake and tbi. i buying the stuff today any help will be appreciated. thanks guys

 

There is zero difference between a 350 and 305 intake manifold. There is a huge difference between pre '87 and '87 later intake manifolds. As far as the head goes the '92 heads are probably Vortecs, so you have to use the '88 manifold.

 

Yes your 305 intake will bolt up to the '92 350 heads.

But they're not Vortec's, weren't around in '92. [96-up only]
