LT1 Hoses ?
LT1 Hoses ?
Hey , when I bought this 97 LT1 it was missing most of the vacuum, heater, waterpump and radiator hoses. I need to find out how many different sizes there are for the vacuum, heater, waterpump and the radiator.
Thanks
Thanks
As for the radiator. I used my factory one that came with the RS and its 305 TBI. The engine right now is a 450hp 355 LT1 and stays at 180 while driving and only goes as high as 190 when stuck in traffic.
I used the 4th gen F-bod hose from the top of the rad to the right of the pump and used a C4 hose from the T-stat to the lower part of the rad.
I also removed the lower right tube on the pump and put a freeze plug in there. Then got rid of the T valve to my heater core and ran those lines into the pump. Not too hard and MUCH cleaner than before when I had tubes running EVERYWHERE.
For vacuum line....... I am redoing mine right now. Going to order the C4 setup that puts it out the back of the fuel rail area and then over to the brake booster since I just installed a set of fuel rail covers.
I took the car off the street for a few months now while I redid the entire engine bay. Wiring and everything. Looks like a new car. Should be done Friday or over the weekend. Hopefully I'll have pics soon.
If you've got any other questions e-mail me at Bnsrslt1@aol.com
Just be sure to start the title of the e-mail with "LT1" so I won't think it is spam.
Good luck.
