I have a weird decision to make.

OK, for starters, between me and my Fiance, we own four vehicles. a 90 Lumina that I just got on the road, a 87 IROC, a 91 RS, and a 91 nissan 4x4. Now the IROC is a weekend only car so that leaves us with 3 daily drivers and one has to go. Right now my fiance usually drives the lumina and I drive the truck. The RS has a spun rod bearing and I'm in the middle of fixing that right now. So either the RS or the truck goes.

You say that obviously you should keep the RS but wait. I love having something to haul stuff in and my father gave me that truck when I was 17 so if I just gave it back after beating up on it for a couple years then he wouuld think I didnt appreciate it. Also I'm only 18 and have already had my license suspended for 3 monthes and am 1 more ticket away from losing it for another full year so insurance for the RS will be much more expensive. Which ever vehicle I keep it will be recieving a mild (425hp) 350 from the IROC when I build the engine for that. I'm thinking about yanking the 4wheel drive out of the truck and making a serious sleeper. I would have a sleeper that runs 12's and has the insurance of a 4cyl. pickup. So whats your pick?

Also, A friend of mine is in line to buy the RS so its not like the car will disapeer and I will never see it again.

I agree. Sell the RS and the truck. If you are wanting to build a sleeper truck then start with the 2wd. 4wd usually sell for more than a 2wd so sell it and buy the 2wd. Otherwise leave the Nissan alone and use it for a truck. If you buy a 4.3L S10, they are VERY easy to swap to a V8 since the trans bolts right up.

The Nissan will need an engine in the next 10,000mi or so because every day, it takes longer to build oil pressure. About the S10 thing, Just this past saturday I saw 4 different s10s with SBC's in them. Also with the nissan, I can keep the fender flares and class 3 bumper with the mudflaps and be very sneaky.

I still think the Nissan would be a major PITA with little rewards. Trying to get any guages to work and whether the 4 cyl Nissan rear can hold the horsepower. No cheap posi and trying to mount a V8 and transmission into a Jap trap would be no easy chore. You may very well end up with lots of $$ tied up in it and it not run or not run correctly.
