i want new engine
anyone know where i can get a 305 or 350 tpi (prefer 350) that is either rebuilt or has decent miles in it? and one that wont cost too much. is there any sites or anyone thats selling one? i looked in the classifieds but didnt really see anything, so is there a site or a place i can go to find one not too expensive?

the junk yard is a good place. Ive seen low milage lo5 and l31 350 ci engines for less than 800 bux. You could even get some salvaged l98 heads for not too much if you hate the hassle of using the l31 vortecs. Just search the salvage yards out online. Lots of them have sites that you can visit and check their invintory.

they r hard to find up here in NJ I just keep callin and trying everyday to see what new engines have come in. I just pray that my car wont die before Ifind one. that would mean I have to drive the wifes mini van

hey try up in rahway NJ. Thats where i was origionally gonna get my engine. They had a Vortec 350 /25k for 800 dollars. Theres a couple of salvage yards around there.

I will be selling my 305 TPI when I do my LS1 swap. Engine has 90k runs storng. Has never failed emissions. Run exclusively on mobil 1 10/30 synthethic (no leaks) and high octane fuel. I do not run it hard either.
