Engine Mount bolts- easy removal?

Hey since the motor mounts in my car are getting replaced anyway, should I just cut the bolts off? I'm not messin with that A-arm crap, not unless I had a lift. I barely trust jack stands as it is.

I don't see how cutting the bolts off would help you much, you'd still have to drive a nut up there to get a new bolt on. I wouldn't recommend it.

You don't have to lower the control arm to get those nuts off, all it takes is the right combination of u-joints and extensions. I'm going to assume that your engine isn't in the car since you put this in the motor swap board. It would make it easier to have another person hold a ratchet/wrench on the bolts on top so you can concentrate on the nut. The lowest one isn't very hard to get to, so you can take that nut off and one of the top ones, loosen the other one, drill out the rivets, and rotate the top shell to get the mount in. I'm not saying it's easy, but that's what worked for me. Instead of rotating it is also possible to only take the lower nut off and pry the shell up, put the mount in there, then push the shell back down and tighten it.
