Car: 85 trans am
Engine: 79 4 bolt 350
Transmission: 700r4
what do i need for an engine swap?
i have an 85 trans am with the plain old 305 and it has 169000 miles and this winter i am planning on either rebuilding the 305 with performance parts and boring it out .30 over or swapping it for a 350. i am not doing this myself but i know a guy who will do it for cheap as long as i have everything needed to swap it out. i was wondering what i needed and or if i should just rebuild the 305 and with what parts? the only aftermarket product on it now is an edelbrock carb. thanks alot for your help

I dont know much at all either, but those who do need more info... such as, will this car be daily driven? or are u looking for a weekend car/ drag strip car? It also depends on ur funding... do u have the money to spend to build a completely new motor?
