LT1 Swap: Started it Up for First time today WOOHOO
For the first time in 2 years my car is running. A friend and I made our own harness too. Car sounds just awesome. Right now it has open headers, and am I glad I went with a huge cam it sounds so mean. Hopefully this weekend I will have her out for my first ride. I just have a few small things to take care of like the fans and a leaking tranny pan gasket. For a full list of mods check out my site. Just wanted to share my joy

Glad to hear it. I am waiting another month or two to start my LT1 swap. I have my LT1 engine and trans with harness and computer. My intent is to disable the VATS so that I won't have that problem and then wire the two harnesses together. I am currently having the LT1's 4L60E rebuilt to my specs and soon I am going to put my Competition Cams 7-304-8 cam in the LT1. I know its a mild cam but this is 95% daily driver and I don't want to mess with fuel economy to much. I am also going to put the 95 S10 4.3L torque converter in so that it will stall a bit higher and help make this LT1 run nearly as fast as my 99 LS1 Trans Am. That is the goal anyway.
But again congratulations on getting it to run. Makes me feel better about this project. Do you have all the guages working? What about the ALDL connector? Just things that I know I am going to have issues with.

My wiring harness was messed up for me and there wasn't any power going to the relays. Took me a while to figure it out and fix it.

No picsyet but I do have video of the first time starting it up. Does anyone know or could point me to a site on how to load a video, because I have never done it before.

I am using a 93 Z28 radiator and fan setup. I just need to look over a few more thing and then I know they will work.
