Cam Selection Help Please

I hope someone can help...
I am working on a 383 build up and can't decide on what cam to choose. I was originally going to go with the Performer RPM cam to match the other parts until I realized that I may have a clearance problem with it. I want something that is streetable yet able to destroy all the punk a** "Fast and Furious" wannabes driving their import s**t boxes around here. Also, it MUST have a somewhat mild yet tough sounding rumble to go with my Pete Jackson noisy gear set!! Can someone please recommend a good cam that will work with a 383 setup that I won't have to pay a fortune for.

Summit 383 stroker crankshaft
Edelbrock Performer RPM COMP 64CC SBC HEADS
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap intake manifold
Edelbrock Performer RPM 800 cfm, carburetor
Edelbrock 350, 5.7 in. Stage II, bushed, connecting rods
Keith Black Silv-O-Lite Signature Series hypereutectic piston set (10.3:1 cr)
Rear window decal that reads "Rice, It's what's for dinner!" (oughta make me REAL fast )

As long as I have the above posted, can anyone here possibly give me an estimate of what I can expect for hp and torque from this setup??? (Including your cam recommendation)

ThankS!!!!!

Try a Comp XE274. I had one in my 400 for a while, ran great.

The Performer series cams are terrible, very old school. The XE cams open the valves much quicker, which gives you greater "area under the curve" of valve motion.

Will that cam work in a stroker application as-is or will I need to do some major clearancing to the rods or anything??

That depends on the rods you use.

When I took my old 383 apart nothing was clearanced with the I-beam rods. I had to have this block clearanced because I'm using H-beams. You should be ok.
