assembly issues??
assembly issues??
I have an older style( 2 piece rear seal) 350 block to use for an engine project. Now question 1:
How will the 2 piece main seal affect my stroker crank shaft selection?
Question 2
How will the 2 piece seal afect the t56/clutch/balance etc...???
>>>>>>Question 3
Whats it take to convert it to 1 piece seal if needed.
Sorry for the questions but the search just left me more confused. Im only asking cause i got the block cheap from family, and if i need to get a newer style block i will start junkyard hunting. Thanks everyone.

Answer 1:
This should affect your choices at all. There might even be more kits made for the 2 piece rear main than for the 1 piece.
Answer 3:
Check the Summit or Jegs catalog or websight. they make a nice little billet adapter to solve this problem. (you obviously won't need this if you get the crank for the 2 piece)
I don't know for sure about #2 so I'll just leave that answer to the experts.

AFAIK the only way to do that is with a certain flywheel, made by Centerforce. I can't recall the part #... check their home page www.centerforce.com
