Quick simple question
Were our engine blocks painted from the factory?
Becasue mine is orange and never I heard anything about the engine being rebuilt from the previous owner.

They've been painted black from the factory for a couple of decades.
Orange was the color of the past (like my '57). Somebody was trying to re-live it. I believe they stopped using orange somewhere in the mid-70's.

Yeah, about 74 or 75 was the last of the orange; then they were blue for a couple of years; they've been black since about 80 or 81.
If yours is orange, it's had at least a Krylon rebuild.
