i just got a 305 and a tranmission today....but there's a problem...the tranny was supposedly a 700r4...but it looks like a 350. would it still work? or do i have to go hunt down the guy i got this stuff from and make him give me the right tranny?(he's not returning my calls)

 

I have a 305 with a th350 tranny. They bolted right together, all I needed to get was a Torque Arm bracket.(Summit $75.00)

 

thanks for the info, but i have a new problem..... i want to know if i can somehow connect the transmission from my v6 to the 305. is there some kind of adapter for that?

 

What makes you think it's a 350?

Does it have a vacuum modulator?

 

i might not be 100% sure that it's a 350, but i know for sure it's not a 700r4... it weighs nothing compared to the tranny that i took off my v6 and the oil pan looks like a 350's pan. either way, i'm not using it. i want my transmission from the 6 to work with the 305...otherwise i'm screwed until i find a tranny that will work.
