Stupid SB 400 Question??
Stupid SB 400 Question??
Does a SB 400 have the right hole's for my sensors, like the knock sensor?
Thought I heard somewhere that all the small blocks had them, but Im not sure.
I know where 2 are at now that need to be rebuilt and was thinking it might be a good swap.
Thanks

yes it will have the correct hole for the knock sensor, its just a hole in the block that goes into the coolant passage. there should be a hole on both sides. normally you dont need them, on a non comp controlled engine, they normally have plugs in them.
as far as any other sensors, they will go in the heads/intake etc and the block wont have any bearing on it. hope this helps.
i have a 400 in my garage that needs built, but built the 350 cause it was cheaper.
