Is it Possible to put a 383 Stroker in an F-Body?
Is it Possible to put a 383 Stroker in an F-Body?
Im getting an old Chevy truck, the body is a Piece of ****. But the engine is very nice. (Flow master headers, High Rise Manifold, 650 Holley Carb, 383 stroker, and its all chromed out)
I have a 1987 IRoc-Z camaro with a blown up engine. With TPI.
My question is: would it be possible to swap the engine and USE the TPI on the the 383 stoker?

Yep.
Get familiar with that little ol' "Search" button. Several have done it. Basic issues revolve around the required externally-balanced damper and flexplate (unless you have an expensive internally balanced 383).
In your case, TPI will choke a poor 383. Significant mods required.

ummm hi
lol, read my signature and look at my name...thank you that is all.
hehe, by the way
internally balanced 383's are the rule not the exception these days, 400 cranks are not exactly shelf items anyplace....so the only place you get a 383 is with aftermarket stroker kits, i have a callies crank.....its all internally balanced, and im pretty sure you can get a whole rotating assembly from eagle (already balanced) for a little over a grand if your cost conscious. (mine is a little pricey but i bought the best stuff there is)
all hail the 383:rockon:
