305tpi to 350 or 383?

305tpi to 350 or 383?

i wanna keep the tpi and put fuel pressure reg,vortec heads,vortec tpi intake,edelbrock runners,edelbrock tb,slp headers,hot cam,24lb accel injectors and port plenum.
its for a daily driver car and should i get the 383 or 350?
but i dont wanna feel that the car is too powerful that i cant handle. i want all these mods but for a street car not drag racing.
and i dont want posi traction so should i go with 350 or 383?

a 350 or a 383 will be alot faster than the 305 you have..

i would start with the 350..

I wouldsay, if you are even thinking about a 383, then do it now so you don't have to do everything twice. It won't be too much off the line if you just ease the throttle in. Just push it down about 1/3 and as you get moving just roll the peddle down. Using it for a street machine, it will give you lots of punch in the 20-30 range in second. That's where I wanted my power to be and it works great. So I guess it boils down to cost. If you can afford the crank, then do it now. Even though I see lots of posts with guys having 383's, I don't run into that many.

I originally went small and have regretted it ever since. This winter I am redoing the bottom half if not the entire engine. Just trying to find who is going to build my 383. I could be using the money from the second go around for a lot of other things. Even if you go with a 350 your gears are going to hold you back for sure. Keep that in mind.

I haven't a clue where you're coming from here. Two wheels driven on marginal traction is better than one wheel driven on marginal traction.
