hi guys,
i need some advice,im getting ready to start saving for another motor,for my car,now heres what im after,400-450 horsepower,and bout the same in torque,now i have a 350 4 bolt,i can have built,or i can buy a crate motor,which would you do?i have a pretty good connection at our local machine shop,im looking for the cheapest route,and the knowing of whats going into my motor...looking to spend around 2-3 thousand total,i have a intake carb,headers,and performer rpm heads, already.what do you guys thing?
i already have a 6 speed,and 373 rearend,im looking to get into the 12's,and have good driveability,

p.s. i would also like to be able to spray nitrous eventually....not much,maybe 150 shot or so

 

if youve got a connection at the machine sshop i think your choice is pretty easy. id stroke and bore the engine to 383 (with all forged components if your running N2O) also you need more carb. 750 or 800cfm holley 4150. have the shop port match the intake to the heads and get a new cam to match your new setup. id bet you could get 500+ hp (motor only)with 3000 bucks
