In a Monte even...Very nice!
well, here is a shot of mine just after we got the engine in. as Mat said, a lot has changed since then. when I get home on christmas break I'll het some new photos up.
anyway, here are the major changes.
1. ECM now mounted where the MSD box was on a custom plate
2. MSD mounted under front plastic, hidden from view and out of the way
3. Auto trans wire bundle was removed and all wires and hoses rebundled and rerouted in this area
4. Same thing here, all of the wires and hoses were rebundled or rerouted to clean things up.
5. I think this was the cruise control cable, but since none of it worked since I got the car, I just pulled it all out.
6. Redid the intake with a new quality filter and changed the mounting angle so that the filter sits down where the cruise module was at.
7. Reworked the heater hoses and moved them lower on the engine
8. Bundled all of the wires in conduit and ran below former ECM mount in a single bundle
9. Bundled all loose wires into one
10. The one I missed below the MSD box, I now have LT4 intake and heads with red painted valve covers. gives the engine a much better look.

Trust me its a helluva lot cleaner now. I couldnt stand all that crap for very long. So the last time we had the engine out we redid pretty much the entire wiring harness, modified nearly every bundle of wires. I'll try and get some new photos this weekend.

Here is my lowly motor,

Question, what do I have to do to the engine and motor mounts to drop this into my 86? I have been told that I have to move the pass mount on the k-member over a little bit and I have to use the 3rd gen block mounts.
I thought that it would drop right in since it is a sbc.
