305 tbi to 383 carb

I am getting ready to rip out my piece of crap computer controled 305 and putting me a beasty 383 with a 600 cfm carb in its place. Do any of ya'll have any tips that might make this project a little bit less of a pain in the a$$. Do you know of the easiest way to hook up the throtle cable, and the kick down for the trans. Also how to route the new fuel lines I will need to have.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard.

For the bracket, see https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=144574

Several posts have talked about TBI to carb conversion. Others about the special needs of an externally balanced 383. You'll need to decide whether to maintain the factory in-tank electric pump and use a step-down regulator, or pull the in-tank and go with an on-engine mechanical.

Are you sure you want to use a 600 cfm carb on a 383? Especially a "beasty 383"? Sounds a bit small.

Hope you've got "big" plans for exhaust upgrades, too.

Sorry to hear you feel that way about computer control. Totally misdirected, in my opinion.
