Engine: 305

Just LT1 on current engine
Ok I tried to ask this before and I was told to read the sticky and the sticky just talks about a total LT1 engine swap I just want to know if I can hook the intake up to the current engine? Or could I buy a crate engine and hook this up with out having to have 11.1 ( not sure if thats it but close) compression?
