check this crap out, in order to remove the vats from my 96 vette pcm i have to make a lt1 file retrieved from the computer, then send it to akm or one of the companies associated with them, and send a fat amount of change, 550.00 to get the software to remove the vats for me to start the damn car, all this hard work and to end up payin some SAD price for a program some nuckle head built using c++, and to finish it up i have to build the cable and convertor to save money, and the program is locked to one vin# i assume.

 

Have you tried searching the prom board or GM ECM lists?

 

ouch, that's nasty. That's probably getting close to the price needed to change to OBD1
