95 LT1 w/4L60E question

95 LT1 w/4L60E question

my swap is getting close, i am lookn at trannys. i found a 94 4L60E for a good price but i have all 95 technology. ive been told only a 95 will work with my 95 stuff. what do i need to do to the 94 tranny to make it work?

94 and 95 should be the same. 93 is different in both fuel injection and transmission.

i talked to a pretty reliable source today and ill give you the gist of what he said:

the 94 has a few differences, the first being technology
the 94 has a different plug, and is obd 1
the 95 is obd 2
the 94 has small problems with locking in 1st when put under pressure like spinning tires on wet pavement, which you have to get out of by turning off the key then back on

i guess the 95 cleared that stuff up

i guess the 94 also has a leakage problem where the electronics come out of the tranny that they cleared up also

so, thats what i was told:lala:

'95 is most DEFINITELY OBD1, it only has an OBD2 ALDL connector. Everything else about it is OBD1. Anyone who tells you differently is only very slightly correct, GM switched to OBD2 at the VERY end of '95.
