i need some help on 305 motor budget

i have an 87 iroc-z, 305 TPI, TH-700R4. my mods are for the rear... 3.73 gears and ratech installation rebuild kit from bearings to shims , etc..basicaly a rebuilt rear. kyb shocks, gm springs, stiffer swaybar and panhard rod and polyurethane bushings. for the tranny i have a aluminum driveshaft, transmission is rebuilt, it also has a B&M transpak so i could recalibrate the trans, trans mounts, subframe connectors, B&M console shifter, and B&M trans cooler. exhaust system flowmaster 3 inch catback but putting on summits new loud mufflers and also high performance catalic converter from cataco and hedman headers. suspension in front kyb struts and gm springs, stiffer swaybar bushings and all new front end bushings and ball joints, strut tower brace, front end rebuilt.

on the engine so far is a new tune up...MSD ignition setup from distributor cap and rotor, blaster coil, 8.5mm wires, and msd 6al box and bosch spark plugs. i built that ram air dam that is posted on this site which was worth it. k&n air filters and oil filter, 52mm throttle body, underdrive pulleys, and edelbrock tpi intake and runner combo from summit. fuel system i have new holley fuel pump, fuel lines, 24lb injectors, and fuel pressure regulator.
JUST I QUICK SUM UP DO YOU THINK I CAN RUN 14 SEC. WITH THIS MUCH MOD....SOUNDS LIKE A STUPID WISH BUT JUST WANT TO KNOW.
Finally what should i do now about the rest of the engine i mean is it worth buying a 350, a ZZ4 partial crate engine, a modified 305 out of the crate or should i just get new heads and a cam. i dont have a good budget and my car has 120,450 miles on it or should i just throw nos in there and just blow the old engine. BASICLY THE ENGINE IS ALL THAT MATTERS RIGHT NOW. if any tech can help with some websites for buying new engines or know what i should do please help me.....my fate and the car lies in the thirdgens tech hands! one more thing should i instead take of the tpi setup and put on a ram jet setup or some other type of performance setup.SORRY SO LONG AND THANKS GUYS!:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

do the same as me get the 350 for "cheap"
use http://car-part.com to find motors in the new york and newjersey area. you should look for 96-2000 fullsize chevy truck motors they are vortech 350's all you would need is the vortech lower manifold and a prom and injectors i believe. some one correct me if i'm wrong. by the way whats your budget?
theyu would help others with finding you combo or at least helping

Using "325 HP 305", "TPI", and "budget" in the same sentence is one defination of insanity. You can have 2 of the 3 - you choose which 2.

But, what you need to do to get the HP:

#1 - Exhaust. Headers at least, high-flow cat & cat-back a very good idea.

#2 - That 52mm TB was pretty much a waste of budget for a 305. Ported plenum and base is what you should have done. The runners were a good idea, but need a cam to go with them.

#3 - You did't need bigger injectors (they will probably actually cost you power, and absolutely will not get as good of gas mileage if this is a dual-use vehicle). With the AFPR, 19# would be just fine on a 305.

#4 - Head porting or better heads. Pocket ported World S/R Torquers will yield a 50 HP increase over 3-angle valve job stock heads. Full porting even more. Porting stock heads is a budget alternative, but you need bigger intake valves, new springs, and screw-in rocker studs a very good idea - all of which add to the cost of using stock heads. Vortecs would cost a lot more since you need a whole new base. Port matching your stock piece to your ported heads would have been a zero-cost improvement option.

#5 - Cam. A decent computer-compatible roller cam will be somewhat expensive, but the cam is the heart of an engine. Get a higher stall converter to match the cam.

#6 - PROM tuning. Get your own equipment and do some experimenting.

You'll probably be close to 300 HP at the flywheel with those mods. Should be in the 14's easily. You pretty much have to do all of these things with a 350, too. Plus perhaps bigger injectors. But, the result will be even more power.
