305 heads on a 350 block
Overall design on the two cylinder heads is very similar. You will gain more compression with the 305 heads on the 350 because of the smaller chambers on the 305 heads. My suggestion is to just stick with the L98 heads on the L98 because they have the correct intake volume and chamber sizes for the 350 and will probably make more power with a nice port/polish job.

I agree. The 305 heads also have smaller intake valves.
You could have larger intake valves installed in the 305 heads, port them, and have higher compression and perhap make more power than with ported L98 heads. But, I doubt it would be worth the extra cost of doing so.
