v6 swap to v8...please help

i am extremly curious what it would cost to take for example a camaro rs with a 3.1 v6 and swap it with a v8 5.7...and would carb'd be cheaper to get and install or fuel injected...even if the rs is fuel injected already?

Who's going to do the work?

Where are you getting the parts? (Notice I said "parts", not engine. The engine is nothing, it's the parts that will kill you.)

five7kid has a point... If you do the work yourself... you can find a COMPLETE engine and transmission (computer, harness, accessories, etc...) for anywhere between $800-1200 or more depending on the condition. You could also get a donor car and just take your time and swap everything out. You have to use a V8 transmission too... your motor mounts have to change, I'm not too clear on the fuel pump yet but I'll know within the next week or two, I've heard different opinions on them. This is just a start, not to mention you have to change the v6 tach to a V8 tach as well... The list can go on and on... Hope this helps some.
