Which engine would you recomend for my upgrade from a 305 in my 86 camaro z28 i will problably take it to my local track now and then but it has to pass emmisions and be streetable and all that since this is my only car

 

Go with a 383 Stroker.

 

where can i get one of these that is turnkey i want somthing that i can just put in bolt up and start the car up and go.

lil friendly advice.. if your planning on dropping in a bigger motor and racing it some.... Get another car for a daily.

350... its much cheaper to build because you don't need the expensive 383 parts, and can make about the same power. A 383 will make more low end grunt, but with the money you'd save by keeping to a 350, you could put that somewere else like the exhaust or the heads and make just as much power.

A 350 will probably be better on gas too, but only marginally.
