Engine Stand Questions. Which to buy?

I just got a free 305 LG4 and I am planning on rebuilding it. I need an engine stand to put the motor on.

If you guys have one...what rating is it and how do you like it? I need to get one and I don't want to buy a inexpensive one only to get burned.

Where can I get a decent one and what pound load rating should I get for my v8. Can they hold a fully dressed motor?

thanks,
bill

Also, make sure it has four wheels...the three wheel models fight you more while moving with a engine aboard.

i bought my 700lb. capactiy stand from Matco tools

its good quality
cost my $100
but it looks exactly the same as the ones you see for $50 in catalogs

i guess the main reason i bought the matco one is cause i just have to pay matco $20 a week

i'd be lost forever were it not for tool truck financing

Got mine from Grizzly.com

I think it was $40 for a 4 wheel, 100lbs stand....works very good.

Thanks guys. I had a feeling the 3 wheeled stand would be awkward. Im looking at a 1000lb 4 wheel stand. They have them here for around 50 bux.

My father in law just got me a 2 ton shop crane!
