easy ?... fuel system..TPI to Carb....help me
I have a 86 IROC, it had a 5.0 TPI motor, now i'm putting in a 350 Carb motor....only thing im a little unsure of is what lines to use...and im too lazy to find a service manual...I have the two fuel lines, the one on the left and right, please just let me know which is the feed and which is return
I just open up the return line and it'll act as a breather...correct or do i have to plug it up....
I know i need to buy a fuel pressure regulator...what PSI do i set it for? its a 750 cfm carb....
finally, do i have to do anything with the charcoal canister on the right in the pic? or can i just remove it...or plug up the lines etc...??
any help is appreciated...i did all this 2 years ago on my 88 IROC but i cant remember...oh well....thats what these boards are for i guess...:lala:

um yea key.....i would love to, but....the car is not really a runner...it sat 6-7 years, i dont even have a door/hatch key, just a copy key for the ignition. i havent gone over the electrical system enough yet so i dont feel comfortable connecting a battery at this time. i had to remove a rodents nest from the bulkhead fuse box connector... and the harness is out so i can clean it up. i figured the smaller is feed like on my lt1 in my vette, i just dont remember what i did with the canister in my 88 iroc, i swear i just pulled it and plugged the line, and i dunno if i plugged the return line as well. i think i had the fuel pressure regulator set at 5 psi in the car....(88 iroc was originally TBI, then switched to carb)

You have to use the return line (the smaller one). Get a return style regulator. I got a mallory one from summit. It's expensive, but it gets the job done. If you don't do this, you'll burn out the fuel pump. 5 psi is good for carbs.
