Can you use the Kmember from Thunder racing with a ls1. Just wondering if the motormount adapters will bolt to it. With the ls1 being so cheap on ebay I dont know why everyone doesnt do this.

I see no reason why you can't. You will still need special engine mounts. Are you going to run A/C? If you are not you can just get by with the mounts.
I was planning on running a/c. I dont think I will need it right away. Will it provide clearance. Also do you know if the corvette exhaust manifold will clear.

I need to see a picture of it installed to get a better idea. I am sure the mounts will bolt to it. The street and performance adapters bolt right up to the stock mounts. I am pretty sure there is no difference between vette manifolds and f-body. There should be no clearence issues.

because it's more then just mounts to get it all to work. for the same price or less you can build a much faster car. it's just fun to say you have an LS1

You are right it is a complex swap. However, it has several benefits over the L98. I am doing the swap because I will be able to get 20 mpg in town, 30 highway and still lay down around 360 rwhp. All while passing emissions. LS1 Engine management is light years ahead of what our cars came with. So there is a lot more flexibility in performance tuning.
I was considering an LT1 swap for the same reasons, but then I figured what the hell. Why not take it up a notch.
You can easily and cheaply build up a L98 to get that power, but you will not get that kind of tunability and efficiency.

i had no problem with it...........twice the power, half the price.
i'm just saying that you should really look into. we do those swaps around here for the aww factor. nothing more. unless you get a deal they aren't worth it. in the future when the engine because very cheap to aquire and parts are even cheaper then i do believe it will be a great idea.
