is this correct from what ive read in my searches?

basically all that i need to to to swap my 1987 2.8L engine in my firebird for a bran-new 350 is to take all the parts off my 1989 Trans am doner car, swap everything on to my firebird from the trans am (computer and all??), then put the 350 in?

if this is true then all i would have to buy is an exhaust and a transmission (the trans am has holes in the exhaust and the transmission is auto and i want manual)

if im wrong please let me know
thanks

tom

Do not forget the springs. Also you will probably have different axl ratios between the two cars. You will need to swap the gears for the VSS as well.

Yes. Everything you need is in the Trans-AM.

Since you have the donor car take all the neccessary suspension parts. Springs, Sway bar, Rear Axle gear (posi if equipped) If it has rear discs, Do a complete axe swap. Make sure you change the mastercylinder and proportioning valve. After putting on all the performance parts you're car will perform better all around.
