87 and later roller motors ?

I know 87 and later F-body 350 blocks are able to be factory roller equipped. Are all 350's 87 and later able to be factory roller equipped. I have heard the rumor that they are but they didn't install roller cams in the pickups and such. Thanks for any help.

I have read before that they have provisions for roller cams. However I think some minor machine work still has to be done to get one of the truck blocks to accept a roller cam.

all of 'em have the bosses in the lifter valley for the retention system. Some will have to be drilled and tapped other blocks will already be drilled and tapped.

Not true.

14101148 doesn't

14079287 doesn't

14093638 does (The block I have )

14088526 does

14011148 does (Very easy to confuse with the one above that doesn't -- 14101148)

I can go on and on... just go to www.Mortec.com/castnum.htm and look. There's an entire list of them, including 305's.

Hmmn, this bring up an inportant thing. I am about to buy a L98 shorthblock, brand new, from scoggin dickey i belive. It is lees the cam and timing. I heard it is roller, but how can i be sure. Also the compression is supposed to be 8.9:1 w/ my 66cc heads. I wonder if that's true too. Anyway, it's getting a uperam and vortech non intercooled (which i already have). I am hoping that it'll hold up. What do you guys think. The heads are TF aluminum. and the l98 coems w/ 11cc dish piston, and all cast internals.
