im doing a ls1 swap and can't find any headers that fit. would it be a good idea to have custom headers made or buy some and have them modified? im also planning on having a dual exaust system made too...

summit racing sells kits that you can make your own, I'm sure they would have something there for you. they aren't smog legal though, so if you have emissions, you may be out of luck there.

I'm making a set of smog legal L98 headers, the process should be similar to LT1 and LS1, If it's not too difficult, I'll see if I can post an article on it. May save you a few bucks, but it won't be done for another month or so.

Custom headers can be very expensive and timing comsuming to make properly...

I wonder if LS1 headers for a late model camaro or firebird will fit. I mean the chassis is similar, there are emissions headers available, and the overall height and length is probably close. Just a thought...

I dunno if this is 100% fact, but its something to look into... I heard that you can use BBC headers if you get the flange changed or altered to use the LS1 bolt pattern.
