If you're looking for a crate motor with 4 bolt mains (used in most new motors from GM) and a roller cam (used in most performance motor from GMPP) I would look at the ZZ4. It puts out 355hp and very good torque (I can't remember the numbers at the moment). That motor is best suited with a carbed setup, but it will work with fuel injection also. If you want to go FI, you'll have to ditch the stock FI (TPI/TBI) and go with a good performance setup (DFI, SR, etc.) since the stock units can barely feed a stock motor. You will be able to use all your old mounting brackets on any engine as long as the heads have accessory mounting holes. The ZZ4 has centerbolt heads (aluminum). If you're looking for a motor with Vortec heads, then the 350 HO has them. It puts out good numbers (330hp/380ish tq) and it has centerbolt heads, plus it's cheaper than the ZZ4. I'm not sure if it uses a roller cam though, I'm thinking it doesn't.
