old 350 swap to 350 H.O. lots of ?'s

Ok, a friend of mine directed me here. I've spent a good hour or so sifting thru various forums and searching TBI related messages. I still have a few unanswered questions that I was hoping you good people could help me with.

I have a '92 Chevy K1500 (Z71 4x4). Stock form it has a weak 350 TBI (in new form lucky to put out 225hp).

I want to swap this engine out with the GM Performance 350 H.O. (330hp / 380ft. lbs torque) However I want to retain the fuel injection, but on the other hand don't want to spend a fortune on a TPI or MPI setup.

My plan was to buy the H.O. engine, Performer intake, use TurboCity adapter and mount Holley's 670 TBI unit (Jegs P/N 510-502-6) which has 65lb injectors (as I was told by Holley), and then either have my chip custom burnt (locally) or buy one off the net...oh yeah and of course a new fuel pump and adj. fuel pressure regulator.

Questions:

Will I run into any trouble swapping over all my accessories, etc. between these two engines? I read in one post that there is some trouble using the old stock flexplate / flywheel?

Can I use my stock balancer / dampener?

Will the engine even run with the stock computer / chip programming? (so I can drive it to be reprogrammed if need be)

Is the 670 with 65lb injectors enough to feed this setup?

Will I need any new / different sensors?

Do the stock manifolds bolt up? I'll probably buy new shorty headers anyhow, but was curious if the Vortec's have a different pattern on the exhaust.

Thank you greatly in advance!

Everything will bolt up. Your plan is reasonably sound.

Accessory & exhaust bolt holes are the same.

That motor uses the same (1-piece) flywheel / flex plate as the 92.

You will almost certainly need some chip programming.

Your existing fuel pump is probably adequate; of course who knows how worn out it is or whatever, but there's no need to get some racing one or something. If you're worried about it, just get a new AC/Delco one.

Well after 170k miles I think it's time for a new pump

I wasn't going to get anything fancy. TurboCity.com sells a in-tank replacement that'll swap out without modification and push up to 28psi if need be...all for $139 not bad IMO.
