Gustaf's engines
Gustaf's engines
HEy, I stumbled across a place called Gustaf's Engines. They sell very reasonably priced short blocks, some even cheaper than you could build yourself. Has anyone had any experience with them? Is there work any good? Finally, what does it mean to have the steam holes blocked on a 400 engine?

I am negotiating with him right now on a 388 shortblock. He seems like a straight foward guy & came highly reccomended to me by a fellow third genner.

junk junk junk
I live just across the river from Gustaf racing engines. We race at the same track as his cars. One guy at the track went thru 7 motors in only 12 nites. They go fast then BOOM. Most of the parts are the used parts from their cars stuffed into a junkyard core that has been worked over and painted. Look at the prices .You get what you pay for. Sorry to burst your bubble.7 and 8 hundred dollar race motors are exactly that. My pistons alone cost 800 dollars without rings. Do some more homework or you will get took.:nono:
