Hello Everyone...
Hey there! I've been reading through these forums for the past couple of months and i finally decided to sign up. I currently own an 87 Sports Coupe that has been handed down to me from my dad. He probably gave it to me because IT DOESN'T RUN!!!!! About 3 years ago or so he blew a head gasket on the lil 2.8. Our local repair man said we'd need a new engine so it sat outside in our driveway until about a year ago when it found a new home in the garage. me and a friend tore into the engine and found nothing wrong w/ it except for the blown gasket. If it was fixed when it first broke it would have been fine, but of course sitting there the engine rusted away. So.... to make a long story short... my dad finally gave in to letting me get a V8 so i am in the process of rebuilding a 350 from a 77 chevy. This weekend i am supposed to begin tearing apart the engine. We are going to have the block, crank and heads machined if needed, then purchasing a rebuild kit from summit. I am looking into getting a Crane Powermax Cam, Performer RPM intake, and headman headers for starts. After this weekend I'll prolly be purchasing those too. And as the money rolls in, more money will roll out until i get this thing fixed!!!! I'm so excited i can't wait!!! I'll try to post some pics here and there of my progress and keep u guys informed. I'm getting tired of my moms 4th gen, its time for a real camaro!!!

Welcome to the board
I'm sure you'll find all the info you need. There's a lot of knowledgeable people here that can help you if you need it. I know what you mean about the money rolling in and then rolling right back out. I've gone thru that many times over so far with trying to finish mine. But hey when it's done it'll be
